The Offseason with Coach Ricco

During the 2021 offseason Coach Ricco Phinisee has been busy at CLTX Gaming scouting new talent and preparing for the 5th NBA2KLeague Season, set for Spring 2021.
“It has been great seeing all of the new prospects competing at a high level against elite 2K League players.” said Phinisee, “It’s crazy to see that a lot of them are fresh out of high school and are so passionate about NBA2K. I’m excited to see the top prospects compete in the combine and watch the hidden gems out there. What I’m most excited about is seeing how players adapt playing with new teammates and how they will perform in a unknown environment.”
“Will some players get exposed?”
“Will players increase their draft stock by showing us they can play with anyone?”
“Will they be able to adapt on the fly?”

In the Fall of 2021 Phinisee also assisted the Boston Celtics with their youth development program. Jr. Celtics is the official youth basketball platform of the Boston Celtics, it provides overwhelmingly positive youth basketball experiences by treating each child like an MVP, rewarding players for self-improvement, teamwork and building a future generation of champions and lifelong basketball fans.
“I absolutely love our Jr. Celtics program!”, said Phinisee, “I didn’t know I would have this much fun coaching 4-8 year kids. It’s amazing how quickly they caught onto the basketball drills and It was so exciting to see all of their faces when we won the Jr. Celtics trophy. Go Blue Cheetah’s! Go Jr. Celtics!” ☘️
Coach Ricco will be watching the upcoming NBA2KLeague combine closely and hopes to meet more prospects in Las Vegas in January!
